History

ICCCPO-International Childhood Cancer Parent Organizations www.icccpo.org founded on 1994, in times while on the grounds of ex-Yugoslavia went war.

In these times, Childhood Cancer Parent Organizations founded in this region, emerged as a response to the destruction, trying to make the best of the bed situation and coping with everyday effort to provide for just basic existential needs.

The set of circumstances forced us, parents of cancer children, to target our aims just on medications pooling and related support provision; the topics, such as thinking on some forms of social support, educations, information, recovering of cured children and their families, as well as the provision of the care and support for the families that lost their children - made the topics that were neglected due to general situation in total and existing circumstances. Money was collected both for the necessary medications and for the burials and transport of dead human remains to the families that did not have money for this.

One of the note-worthy schedules of ICCCPO is the organization of Regional groups and we addressed with an open-heart parents’ organizations from our neighbor countries, inviting them to establish the communication so that we could overcome numerous joint problems we presently face and to provide the best possible help and support to the cancer children and their families.
